How did you decide on your profession?
I am a makeup artist and CEO of my own lash line “LASHED by Odie”. I also just graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Politics and Law! My next step is applying to law school. My ultimate goal would be to combine my two passions and become a part of the legal team of a cosmetic/ beauty brand like Morphe or Anastasia Beverly Hills.
I really just let God work his way in bringing me people who brought out these passions in me and have allowed myself to create it into a profession!
What is your favorite part of your profession?
As a makeup artist and business owner, I have loved meeting other entrepreneurs and beauty enthusiasts who share passions and dreams as big as my own!
Who is someone you get your fashion inspiration from?
Something quick, cute, and chic is my go to style, so it would have to be a mix between Kailin Chase from Instant Influencer & Becky G.
When did you learn about the importance of self love?
Probably when I started college.
You start realizing that it’s you against the world really. You have to push for your career and future goals, because if you don’t put in the time and work, no one will do it for you. You have to love yourself enough to work for yourself.
If you could share one message to females everywhere about self love, what would it be?
Know your worth and don’t accept anything less.
Has there ever been a moment in your life where you felt unworthy, what was it?
Oh for sure, and honestly we all do sometimes, but mine was worse when I didn’t know is I should go for it and start my lash line.
How do you encourage and promote self love to others?
I try to do so in everything I do!
If it’s a makeup appointment, every client of mine can tell you that it turns into a therapy session because we just vent, talk, and share life! Spreading love and positivity is the best way to connect with others for the better!
What does the Glam By Sam motto (“find your glamour within”) mean to you?
Mostly that you need to find what makes you special. What makes you you!
How do you find your glamour within on a daily basis?
I do so by continuing to surround myself with people who remind me and keep positivity in my life!
During the COVID 19 pandemic, who or what do you turn to as a way to maintain positivity, clarity, and motivation?
I turn to my family and boyfriend for support and purpose to keep fighting for a better future! Keeping up my personal routine and doing what make me happy and healthy helps overall!

This verse reminds me to leave whatever the future holds to God. I can’t control the future, but I CAN control what I do in the present. Keep working for good in your life, and God with will bless you with 7x better than you’ve ever imagined.
