What is your profession/passion?
Although a lot of people know me for working in sports which is something that I love. Something that many people do not know is that I have worked in the fashion retail industry for over 10 years. I actually grew up in the retail industry, and since I was young I have always been passionate and hungry to work in fashion as well as mixing that love with being an entrepreneur. This is why I launched an online clothing store in July.
What female has inspired you to find your GLAMOUR within?
My Mom has always been my rock and my best friend. She always has encouraged me to go for my dreams and believe in myself. She has shown me what hard work and dedication look like and without her, I would not be who I am today.
When did you learn about the importance of self-love?
In 2017-2018 I really feel like I learned the true meaning of self-love. I believe loving yourself begins in the mind. So many times people forget the brain is a muscle that has to be worked out like any other body part. When you understand that you control your thoughts and you have the power to let others or situations affect you.. that is a game-changer.
If you could tell your younger self one thing about self-love, what would it be?
If I could tell my younger self one thing it would be to not give people or situations power over my emotions.
How do you encourage and promote self-love to others?
I believe achieving self-love is a daily routine. Every day I speak positive affirmations to myself and I have to remind myself that I can and I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. I try to encourage everyone to do the same thing and hopefully I can impact their lives in a positive way by being open, being myself, and talking about my journey and how I have achieved self-love, and show others they can do the same.
What does Glam By Sam's Motto "Find your GLAMOUR within" mean to you?
Find your glamour within.. to me that means being true to yourself. Doing things that you love and are passionate about without worrying about what anyone will think about you. You only have one life to live so make sure you live your best life with no regrets.
How do you find your glamour within on a daily basis?
I find my glamour from within by setting goals for myself and working towards that goal and accomplishing it. Confidence is made by doing the things you said you would do and that could be as small as setting a time to work out and doing it, but every time you do something you told yourself you would do that builds confidence and makes you feel good about yourself.
